Jill and Lauren will definitely want this. This is by the Statue of Liberty?

•
Yes, it's very convenient the Liberty ferry. You might want to check it out before or after you tour the statue. But earlier is always better at this place.

Shopping Districts
SoHo
SoHo spans from Houston St. to Canal St, west of the Bowery. Formerly known as an art gallery district, the neighborhood is now a center of fashionable clothing stores and high-end design boutiques.
Broadway, the area's major corridor, is solidly packed with name-brand outlets and department stores. Prince Street, which intersects Broadway, is a smaller but highly bustling street with smaller outlets from independent designers. And the cobble-stoned side streets hide amazing designer boutique shops that are well worth taking the time to explore (although they're not cheap).
Try walking down Broadway from Prince Street to Canal (about 10 blocks). You'll pass countless clothing shops. Top picks include
Uniqlo's flagship store (a fashion sensation from Japan),
Mango and
Forever 21. Also check out
Pearl River Mart, a huge place with a crazy selection of imported Asian goods, and
Kate's Paperie.
See
this map of the neighborhood for an orientation of these streets.
Directions: From your hotel, take a downtown

train two stops to Bleecker St (5 minutes). Walk west one block to Broadway, then walk south. Once you cross Houston St you're in SoHo.

You said there's an Apple Store in Soho too? That might be easier if we're already down in the area.

•
Yes: 103 Prince Street at Greene (two blocks west of Broadway). They're honestly both convenient. If you're in SoHo, stop by the SoHo store. If you're in Midtown and happen by the area (which is quite possible), stop by the 5th Avenue location. It's your call.
