Topic: "All-in-one tourist passes"
Hi Greg,

Should we buy a New York Pass? I don't quite understand it. Is it worth it?

Thanks!

The New York Pass and City Pass are the city's main discount passes. They're different from each other and whether they're worth it depends on what you want to do.

Let's get a better idea of your itinerary first, then we'll know if one of them is appropriate for you.

Mark,

Given your interests, you're not going to get much value from one of these passes. The City Pass saves you money only if you also visit the Guggenheim and MoMA as well as the other museums.

The New York Pass covers more attractions, but you really have to focus on those attractions and I know your trip focuses on an even mix of attractions, shows and New Year's revelry.

So I don't recommend these passes for you.

Yeah, we're not going to push the museums too much. That makes sense, thanks.
